Welcome!

This site is owned and maintained by Sandie Sandgreen, it is not a commercial website, but a playground for my obsession of computers and music.

Here you'll find a few of my recordings and other things I find interesting, pictures of our cat Mikkel and the place we live.

I redesign this site quite often, so if you want to bookmark this site, please do so from the startpage, all other pages might be changed in a redesign.

SabiCube

Bill and I are working on SabiCube:

A single-player total conversion of Cube2-Sauerbraten with focus on adding rpg/adventure elements. This package includes the first three levels of the game ZetaProject, and a test-map for the new features. The goal is to make the gamebuilding process as fun as playing a game, with intuitive menus and guides to help anyone make their own open-source rpg/adventure game, without prior knowledge of programming or 3D-modeling.

This is a work in progress so editor-workflow might change in future releases as we add features to the engine, but maps from the original sauerbraten (or compatible engines) will be able to load with minor adjustment, and we have no plans to change the map-format. SabiCube is tested on 64-bit (Kubuntu) and 32-bit (KXStudio), and compiling should be fairly simple, just follow the installguide.

Sandsound

These songs are recorded using UbuntuStudio and EnergyXT2 with ZynAddSubFX, Mda-piano/ePiano, Loopazoid and other VSTi's (both dssi-vst and native).

My style... (or lack of) is somewhere between ambient meditation and "death-jazz". I have played lots of different instruments and genres the last 30 year. It have always been hard for me to pick a single main-instrument, cause even thou the drums are my favorite, I also love to play piano and guitar.

Arduino drumtrigger

One of my first Arduino projects, is trying to build a drum trigger that can use piezo-elements as sensors and then convert the signal to MIDI messages in the MCU.

My first attempt kind'a worked, so I build this shield that fits nicely on top of the Arduino:
